Melissa was fuming, wishing her piercing gaze could literally strike down Aurelia on the spot..
She had finally managed to push Aurelia out of the Stirling family, only to find her latching onto Elvis.
The nerve of this gold-digger!
As soon as Aurelia, Elvis, and Jelena sat down, Melissa stormed over, seething with anger.
"Elvis, are you seriously messing with this gold-digger?"
Elvis felt a headache coming on. "Watch your mouth."
Melissa scoffed, "You're not exactly Mr. Clean yourself. You're actually picking up my brothers' ex-lover, a gold-digger I kicked to the curb. Have you lost your mind?"
Aurelia remained calm, refusing to get angry despite Melissa's insults.
Jelena, however, was not so patient. She slammed her hand on the table, standing up, "Jealousy does make one ugly, and you're proof of that. You're just upset that Mr. Cooper isn't interested in you. Do you really need to throw such a tantrum? You claim to be so refined, yet here you are, hurling insults like a fishwife. You're really tarnishing your high-society image."
Melissa's mouth twisted in anger, "I'm just stating the facts. She's a junk, and only a fool would clean up after her."
No amount of dirt she could throw at Aurelia would be enough to satisfy her. She'd love to disfigure Aurelia’s seductive face to see how she could lure men any more.
Elvis was raised in open mind and would not let such things bother him. Melissa's outbursts were nothing new to him.
He could tolerate Melissa’s rude behaviors to him, but he would not allow her to insult the woman he loved.
"Melissa, have you heard of the saying 'The rose among the thorns'? Aurelia is the rose, and you're just a thorn. If your brothers truly decided to move on, I would be relieved."
Melissa looked about ready to explode, "You're blind, and you'll regret this. You'll regret it so much."
