The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 466

Aurelia bolted straight to the bathroom as soon as she got home, tears already welling up in her eyes.

She turned on the faucet, letting the sound of the running water drown out all else, before she buried her face in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably.

She knew she couldn’t believe Leopold, but deep down, she still clung to a sliver of hope, hoping that he was working on some covert plan, that he had no choice but to divorce her and marry Megan, just like three years ago, that he would keep his promise and come back after six months.

Now, all her hopes were being mercilessly consumed by Megan's pregnancy, leaving nothing but despair.

She used to believe she was nonchalant, able to let go easily, never to be toyed with by Leopold.

But now she realized that she wasn’t as strong, as carefree, or as smart as she thought. Once love seeped in, it was hard to let go. That was why she repeatedly fell for his tricks, fell for his deceit.

Tears streamed through her fingers like a gushing spring, mirroring the endless sadness in her heart.

Suddenly, her phone rang. It was a call from Leopold. Anger welled up inside her, and she hung up on him.

He called again, so she shut off her phone.

Leopold was outside the villa. The Hawthorne family was inside, and it was late, so he couldn't go in.

Seeing her turn off her phone, he sighed in frustration, knowing she was probably still fuming.

Maybe she'd cool off by tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Aurelia didn't cool off.

The next morning, as soon as Leopold got to his office, he called her, "Come to my office."

"Alright, Mr. Leopold." Her response was aloof. She hung up, having no intention of going, and letting him wait.

After waiting half an hour with no sign of Aurelia, Leopold had no choice but to call Yuna to fetch her.

But Aurelia had no desire to go, and she said, "Tell Mr. Leopold I'm busy today. I don't have time to go to his office."

Yuna could tell that Aurelia was giving Mr. Leopold the cold shoulder and tactfully withdrew.
