The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 519

Jolin chuckled, "Leah, you're not fat at all. Girls should be just like you. Being too skinny wouldn't be good for health and childbirth. When I pick a daughter-in-law I would never choose a skinny girl. We, the Hawthorne family, are counting on Avery to carry on the family line."

Upon hearing this, Leah flashed a grin and took a hearty bite of her roasted chicken.

Delicious!

Aurelia, after taking a bite of her steak, spoke slowly, "These days, the paparazzi are overly hyping your love life, most likely paid by the Bottorff family. They're trying to divert the public's attention and downplay Karin's issues." As she was speaking, the doorbell rang. The servant went to answer it. It was Arnold.

William, thrilled, jumped off his chair and ran toward him, "Daddy!"

Arnold picked him up, lovingly kissing his little cheek.

Zack quickly instructed the servant to prepare an extra set of cutlery.

Arnold waved it off, "No need, Zack. I've already eaten."

"Then have some dessert, and it's your favorite."

Jolin had the servant bring out the dessert and serve him a bowl.

He put William back in his chair, allowing him to continue eating, and sat down beside him.

"Today, Mr. Bottorff from Starstruck Entertainment came to see me."

Aurelia knew Mr. Bottorff would go to him.

"We were just discussing Karin's issue, how does Mr. Bottorff plan to resolve it?"

Arnold said, "He proposed to transfer a major IP to Serenity Films, in exchange for Avery dropping the issue with Karin, asserting that Leah was the first to trip Karin and that Karin merely lost control and hurt her."

A spark of anger flashed in Avery's eyes, and he asked, "Did you agree?"

"Of course not. Leah is your assistant, and this matter is for you to decide," Arnold said.

"It's outrageous that she wants to shift the blame after going crazy. She must publicly apologize to Leah," Avery was indignant, and he would not let Leah be wronged, whoever hurt Leah was unforgivable.
