"She’s already 20 this year." Hanson pulled out his phone, showing Jessica a picture of Leah, "Everyone reckons she's the spitting image of you, Jessica."
Looking at the picture, Jessica chuckled, "She does resemble my younger days."
Leopold glanced at the picture, taken aback. After a careful second look, an unspoken depth of emotion quietly swept across his gaze.
At Blossom Villa,
In her spare time, Leah meandered around the neighborhood. The wound on her arm had significantly healed and she would work for Avery tomorrow.
A black Rolls-Royce pulled up, andLeah recognized it as Leopold's car.
Mischievously, she tapped on the window. The car window rolled down slowly, revealing Leopold's handsome face.
She grinned, "Are you here to see Aurelia? She's at work,. Didn't you head to your office today?"
Everyone was out. Zack and Jolin was line dancing in the park and William was at school. So she was aimlessly wandering around, bored.
Leopold opened the car door and said, "I'm here to see you. Get in."
"What?" Leah was taken aback but climbed into the car anyway. "What's up? You're not trying to bribe me into spying on Aurelia for you, right? I won't do that."
Leopold scrutinized her up and down, his gaze sharp as an eagle's.
He was somewhat impressed by Leah who had been hiding in plain sight for three years.
"I know you're Leah, but what's your last name?"
Leah stared at him, finding his behavior odd today.
They didn't usually interact much, only when he visited Blossom Villa. Why would he suddenly want to see her?
"Brown." She came up with a random name.
