The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 543

Skyler's eyes widened in fear, "Angel, I'm scared. It can't be allowed to eat flowers. Flowers are my good friends."

Aurelia raised her hand to gently pat his head, much like one would comfort a child, "If anyone bullies you, tell your daddy. He will chase the bad people away and protect you."

Skyler shook his head, "Daddy is busy. He doesn't have time to protect me."

Aurelia broke out into a light sweat.

Indeed, the head of a family was usually the busiest, managing numerous businesses under their banner. The amount of time they could devote to their children was naturally limited.

"What about mommy?"

Skyler lowered his head, "Mommy has a lot of things to do too. She says I'm a big boy now and needed to learn to protect myself, to take care of myself, and not depend on adults."

Aurelia held her forehead, recalling what Leopold had said about his aunt being a blonde, blue-eyed aristocrat, a member of royalty.

In Veritalia, parents were worried about their children's lives. Even after they'd grown up, the parents couldn't let go. They fretted over their children's marriages, buying them houses, and helping them raise their children.

Skyler's mother was different. In their hometown, once their children reached adulthood, they didn't live with their parents anymore. They ventured out on their own and their parents didn't interfere with their marriages or families.

Although Skyler wasn't quite mature mentally, as a family, they hoped he could become independent and live on his own.

"Why don't you stay in Elysium longer? That way, you won't have to worry about Geoffrey bullying you."

"That sounds good." Skyler nodded vigorously, "Then I can play with you more often. Leah is also in Elysium. I can go to her to play too."

Leah?

Aurelia was taken aback, subconsciously associating the name with her Leah.

"Who's Leah?"

"She's my little sister. I have two brothers and one sister." Skyler picked up his iPad from the table and showed her a picture of his family. He pointed at a delicate little girl who looked like an angel, "This is Leah, my little sister."

Aurelia was stunned, a sharp pang of surprise coursing through her.
