The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 570

"Those people should live with fear and pain, wallowing in guilt and remorse. They ought to publicly apologize online and shake the world awake."

Skyler cracked a mischievous grin. "My brother Geoffrey always says the strong set the world's rules. If you're strong enough, you can make your own rules."

William stroked his little chin, pondering deeply. "How can one become the strongest in the world?"

With solemnity, Skyler laid out Geoffrey's maxims. "First, you gotta have cash. Second, power. Third, you need some magic. Fourth, be sharp as a tack, and fifth, have a crew that's loyal to the core."

William blinked his bright eyes, a mixture of understanding and confusion on his face.

"It sounds hard."

Skyler tousled his hair reassuringly. "Don't worry. You'll get there."

William stood on his tiptoes, a yearning in his voice. "I wish I could grow up fast. When you're grown, you can do anything."

"You've got it wrong," Skyler waved his hand and corrected him. "It's kids who can do anything. Grown-ups? They get all tangled up in rules. Kids don't need to follow any and can do what they want."

William put on a sly smile as he grasped Skyler's point.

Yeah, who would suspect a thing from a three-year-old kid?

"Skyler, help me get stronger. I want to learn more magic."

"Easy on it," Skyler chuckled.

...

Meanwhile, on the other side of Elysium, the bodyguards had been reviewing the convenience store's surveillance and discovered that the mysterious man was a petty thief.

Following the trail caught on nearby cameras, they soon caught him red-handed.

He was a typical loafer who was too lazy to work at the factory and always hanging around, up to no good.
