The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 584

Aurelia strolled into the diner with her son, William, trailing behind, eager for a hearty lunch.

Megan sauntered over and slid into the booth across from her, a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth. "Joining us for a bite?" she quipped, her voice dripping with faux sweetness.

"Wouldn’t you want to?" Megan shot back, her gaze lingering over Aurelia, scanning for clues.

Aurelia wore a silk scarf, but Megan's sharp eyes caught a peek of crimson beneath the fabric.

A flash of rage sparked in Megan’s eyes, and she abruptly stood up to seize the scarf swiftly and yanked it away to reveal a vivid love bite.

Aurelia grabbed her wrist, and Yuna, who had been sitting quietly, also rose to her feet, gripping Megan's wrist tightly. "Let go, or you'll regret it," Yuna warned, her voice calm but laced with a dangerous undertone.

Megan released her grip, her eyes fixated on the mark on Aurelia's neck. Seems like you had an enjoyable evening," she insinuated with a tone reeking of envy.

Aurelia laughed coldly. "A mosquito bite is all it is. Why the fuss? And even if I did have a man over, what's it to you?"

Megan's anger surged. "If you were sneaking around with my husband, it’s my business."

Aurelia motioned for Yuna to take William to another table. Some conversations weren't for young ears.

"Megan, aren't you the pot calling the kettle black? If I recall correctly, you stole your man from me."

Megan's face turned pale, then rapidly filled with rippling anger. "It was fair game. You wouldn't have stood a chance if I hadn't stepped out. I'm merely taking back what's mine. He never loved you. It's me who he's always wanted. If he didn't have feelings for me, I wouldn’t have won him back no matter how hard I tried."

The words struck Aurelia like a knife, hitting her right where it hurt most.

Yes, if Leopold had no feelings for her, their old flame could never have reignited.
