William cocked an eyebrow with smug satisfaction, "Because I'm a child prodigy."
Melissa rolled her eyes, thinking, Aurelia's sons were both cunning..
"So, do you want your mom to get back with Uncle Leo, or do you want her to marry your dad?" she teased him.
"Of course, I want her to marry my dad." William didn't hesitate but then switched gears, "Though, my mom getting back with Uncle Leo wouldn't be bad either. Then Kane wouldn't have to worry about an evil stepmom. I can handle a stepmom, but Kane's the heir, so he can't have one."
Melissa's lips curled into a half-smile As she said,"I wouldn't have guessed you and Kane to be such brotherly chums."
"We have the same mom, of course, we're close," William stated.
"What about half-siblings, sharing the same dad but different moms? Do they get along?" Skyler asked seriously.
"It depends," William said matter-of-factly, "If the stepmom's a good person, without ambition, not after the family fortune, then half-brothers should get along fine. But if the stepmom's a homewrecker with evil designs, like Megan, wanting her own son to be the heir, then there's no way they'll get along."
"Megan's a big baddie," Skyler stomped his feet in anger.
William nodded fervently, "That's why we must find a way to kick her out of Uncle Leo's life. She's bound to harm Kane otherwise."
Aurelia stroked William's hair gently, "That's for the adults to worry about, sweetheart."
William wasn't convinced, "When the nest is overturned, no egg is left unbroken. In the soap operas, the ambitious ladies always want to off the other's kids."
After all, he had watched his fair share of dramas with Jolin.
Aurelia was taken aback by William's insight. He truly was Jolin's partner in crime-drama watching.
Leopold wandered over, having caught snippets of William's speech, his expression a picture of disarray.
"William, let me assure you, there will be no shady games in my house. I’ll handle anyone who dares try."
