The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 632

Skyler perked up, the grin returning to his face, "You're right, being an adult has its perks. If anyone dares to mess with you or Angel, I'll give them a knuckle sandwich."

He put on a fierce look and clenched his fists, swinging them through the air as if he were the toughest kid on the block.

William couldn't help but giggle. In his eyes, Daddy, Uncle Leo and Skyler were the strongest heroes in the world.

After the kissing scene wrapped up, Aurelia and Arnold stepped out with William and Skyler in tow.

Aurelia stumbled on a loose stone, her body tilting to the side, almost going down for the count, but Arnold, quick as a cat, caught her in his arms.

"You okay?"

"I'm fine, thanks." She flashed a grateful smile.

From a distance, a pair of eyes caught the exchange, brows furrowing in a sudden frown.

Her smile was like a fine needle in his eyes, piercing him with a vague pain and tightening his heart.

With Arnold, she was all smiles, but with him, it was nothing but cold stares.

"I didn't know you'd be here, Leopold," Aurelia said, her voice shaking slightly upon noticing him.

Leopold's eyes flickered with anger. Did she think him an unwelcome intrusion on her time with Arnold?

"You wish I hadn't come?"

"Not at all." Aurelia shrugged, suggesting his busy schedule hardly warranted a trip out there.

Arnold was sad. It was clear he was protective of Aurelia, wary of leaving them alone.

If only he hadn't played the gentleman back in the day, Aurelia would have been his woman, and they might have had their own kids by now, and Leopold would not have had a chance to mend broken bridges.

Leopold was more cunning by far, always wanting the best of both worlds.

"I've already made reservations at the restaurant. Since you're here, join us."

Leopold would much rather take Aurelia away, but that was out of the question.

After all, she was no longer his wife, and he had no claim over her.
