The most infuriating thing was that the bodyguards kept calling Aurelia "Mrs. Stirling" as if she still held the title. She had divorced Leopold ages ago. What kind of “Mrs. Stirling” was Aurelia?
She was the one who should be addressed as Mrs. Stirling!
"Listen up," she snapped at the stone-faced bodyguards, "you work for Leopold, and I'm his wife. I'm the Mrs. Stirling, not Aurelia. She's a thing of the past and you take orders from me."
But the bodyguards didn't even blink an eye at her outburst.
Fuming, she raised her voice to a screech, "Aurelia, get out here!"
The door swung open, and Yuna stepped out. "Ma'am, it's late. Everyone needs their rest. We'll have to take you if you don't return to your room."
She and another guard took Megan by the arms.
Megan was livid, cursing them out, "Let go of me! Do you want to get fired? I am the Mrs. Stirling, carrying the Stirling family heir. If anything happens to this child, you'll all pay with your lives!"
Yuna couldn't care less. The boss' heart belonged to only one person, Aurelia. Who the hell did Megan think she was?
Then, the elevator door opened, and Aurelia stepped out with William and Skyler.
At the hotel entrance, she had parted ways with Leopold.
She headed to her room with her son and Skyler, leaving Leopold to follow later.
Upon seeing Aurelia, Megan was surprised. Aurelia had gone out.
When had she left, and why hadn't her people noticed?
"Did you sneak out with my husband?" Megan demanded.
Aurelia snorted with derision.
She had indeed slipped out right under Megan's nose.
If Megan could seduce her husband and undermine her position, why couldn't she give her a taste of her own medicine?
