The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 659

Megan detested being compared to Aurelia.

In her mind, Aurelia was like Helen of Troy, a master at ensnaring men's hearts.

Lana snorted. "You know, I had almost forgotten. Back when Aurelia was around, we girls were all fine and dandy. Ever since you took over, Katie and Catherine have had one mishap after another, nearly ending up dead. You must be the one pulling the strings, you spiteful witch."

Megan's face flushed with anger. The truth was, she had orchestrated those incidents, but those two had the luck of the devil, escaping unscathed. It was infuriating.

"Don't talk nonsense! I'm not the type to waste time on such pettiness."

Lana scoffed, "What goes around, comes around. Better start racking up some good karma for that baby in your belly, or it might not even see the light of day."

Megan was seething. That bitch, how dare she curse her unborn child?

"Honey, she's cursing our baby. Aren't you going to say something?"

Leopold retorted, "She's not wrong. You should focus on doing good, lest fate takes its toll. And if you're behind those incidents, I'll leave you in a heartbeat." With those words, he swept Lana into the car and drove off.

Fredric, who had been standing nearby, approached.

He realized that Megan was quite a handful, even more so than Sheryl, who didn't care about his affairs outside as long as her position remained secure.

But Megan was hell-bent on keeping Leopold on a short leash. As if he was the type to be tied down.

Even Aurelia couldn't keep him, so what chance did she stand?

No wonder she was quickly falling out of favor.

"Megan," Fredric advised, "a woman should know her limits. Stop making a scene. Go home and learn a thing or two from your sister-in-law."

Megan felt like banging her head against a wall. If only she had the power to make Leopold stay.

At Blossom Villa, Aurelia was getting ready for bed.

As she was about to turn off the lights, her phone buzzed with a WhatsApp message.

[Sleeping?]

[If I was, could I reply? I'm in bed but not asleep yet.]
