Tanya let out a sigh, "Megan is just so stubborn, always butting heads with everyone, but deep down, she's not a bad kid."
Aurelia snorted mockingly in her heart, "She's your puppet, so you'd defend her."
"You can know someone's face, but not their heart. Everyone knows what Megan is like, what she's done. The only reason she's gotten a pass is out of sympathy for the baby she's carrying. We're all hoping she'll see the light before it's too late. If she keeps up her delusions, she won't find us so forgiving." Aurelia replied.
A cold glint flickered in Tanya's eyes, silent and deadly.
"Hasn't she learned her lesson? Someone poisoned her, almost causing a miscarriage, and her face, it's a mess. Nobody knows when she'll recover."
Aurelia spoke slowly, "That poison must be the handiwork of AK Group. They're notorious for their biological weapons expertise, especially poisons."
Tanya's expression turned to one of surprise, "What's the AK Group?"
"A group of hitmen from abroad, specializing in assassinations," Aurelia explained, "Leopold and I have been targeted before. They also orchestrate terrorist attacks. The recent attack in the square was definitely their doing. The police have set up a special task team and deployed a SWAT team to take them down."
Tanya covered her mouth in shock, "There's such a terrifying organization? Why would they target you and Leopold?"
"They're after the Stirling family," Aurelia said, hinting at something more, "But it's strange they'd go after Skyler. He's so innocent and has never had any conflicts. Could it be they're targeting you? There's bad blood between you and the Heninger family and AK Group?"
Tanya coughed softly, maintaining her composure, "That's impossible. I've never heard of them. I keep a low profile and avoid conflicts. I can't have enemies."
Aurelia gasped, "Oh my God, then it must be about your brother, Skyler's dad, Hanson? I remember Skyler mentioned threats at Eastwood Heights. I suspect it's AK Group's doing. Their targets must include the Stirling family and Heninger family."
