Tanya maintained her composure, not even a flicker of distress crossed her face, "As his boss, I think it's only fair I handle his questioning. To be honest, after all these years at my side, I can hardly believe he's capable of such a thing," she said.
Leopold raised no objections, summoning Kevin to escort her to the temporary holding room.
Upon seeing Tanya, Thomas immediately blurted out, "Boss, you've got to get me out of here. I've been framed. I didn't hypnotize Skyler, and I'm the one who got hypnotized!."
Tanya had already sensed something was off with him. There was no way he'd dare to hurt her.
She was exceedingly cautious, worried their conversation might be bugged, so she was very careful.
Her fingertips tapped lightly on the table, a Morse code warning for Thomas to be mindful of potential eavesdropping.
"You're saying someone hypnotized both you and Skyler?"
"Yes, someone hypnotized us and planted false memories in Skyler, making him believe it was me. A hypnotist can cause memory confusion, and Skyler's not exactly clear-headed. He's easily misled."
As Thomas spoke, his fingers surreptitiously sent another signal, [The person I wanted to hypnotize was Aurelia. How could I possibly hypnotize Skyler? There's always a bigger fish, and someone's playing that fish.]
He dared not admit to hypnotizing Skyler, as it wasn't an order from Tanya.
A flash of iciness streaked through Tanya's eyes.
“Think hard. Who could have hypnotized you?” As she asked, her fingers stealthily tapped on the table, [Was it one of Leopold's people?]
Thomas shook his head, "I can't remember. There were too many people on the cruise."
"Did anything unusual happen?"
"Nothing, except at the party. I went to the restroom and met a kid, probably Aurelia's son. He was playing with a yo-yo nonstop. But how could a four-year-old know hypnosis?"
