The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 79

Aurelia, a seemingly unremarkable woman, would have likely gone unnoticed by him had it not been for a medical mishap.

But she was like an unexpected variable in a fixed equation, unpredictable and constantly eluding his control.

The most incredible part was how she could effortlessly breach his formidable defenses, subtly altering him and causing him to lose control.

He thought he had her figured out, but would soon realize that he might not truly know her at all.

“Don’t forget that you signed a three-year contract with the company.”

Aurelia's thick eyelashes fluttered, revealing a hint of cunning, “The penalty can be deducted from my compensation.”

His face immediately darkened.

“It seems you have everything calculated.”

Just like a nesting doll, always scheming.

Aurelia casually plucked a daisy, twirling it in her hand while a bitter smile slowly appeared on her lips.

"Actually, my leaving might not be such a bad thing for you. If I leave, all ties between us will be severed. You won't have to worry about running into me in the elevator anymore."

She swallowed, not knowing why her heart felt a little bitter, “If it were up to you to choose the mother of your child, I doubt you would choose me, even after going through all the women in the world. I hope your wish comes true and that the child looks like you, not me. That way you can completely erase me from your memory.”

She lowered her head, plucking a petal from the flower. With a slight release of her fingers, the petal drifted away in the wind, freely tumbling in the air.

Leopold stared at the petal until it disappeared from the balcony.

Once a petal left a flower, it can never return, their connection forever lost, just like him and her.
