The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 853

Skyler drawled, a twinkle in his eye. "Our bodies are teeming with tiny cells, but to them, we're like the earth itself. That's why we should treasure life. We're not just living for us. We're a whole universe to these tiny cells. When someone's dying, their cells fight like hell to save him like how we'd battle to save our home. If we kick the bucket, those little dependents go down with the ship."

Ramona's eyes widened with wonder. "Wow, that means we must live well and take good care of ourselves and all the other lives, too."

She was determined to use her smarts to take down the bad guys and rescue her Mom and Dad from trouble.

William snickered behind his hand, finding it more apparent that Skyler was becoming quite the teacher.

Vivian sneaked a quick look at Kane, truly observing him up close for the first time. He was easy on the eyes, and she had a soft spot for handsome boys.

Child prodigies usually had minds beyond their years, except for Skyler, who seemed in no hurry to grow up.

"So, club recruitment's this afternoon. Have you guys figured out what you wanna join?" Ramona inquired with excitement.

"What clubs are there?" William asked, eager to know his options.

"Space Pioneers, Genome Explorers, Hackers Syndicate, Medical Mysteries, Artificial Intelligence, and so on. One student can sign up for two," Ramona explained. She had arrived at school two weeks early and had the inside scoop.

"I'll go for Medical Mysteries and Genome Explorers," William decided, thinking a surgeon with a knack for psychology would be pretty badass.

Ramona grinned. "Wow, same here. We can team up then."

Kane naturally gravitated toward Artificial Intelligence and Hackers Syndicate.

Vivian decided on Space Pioneers and, like Kane, Artificial Intelligence.

After lunch, they wandered around the campus, and from a distance, they saw an older student approaching with a posse in tow, deep in discussion.

Ramona whispered, "That's the student council president. He's a fifth-grader and will step down next year. There'll be elections for a new president, and we can all throw our hats in the ring."
