Avery was hung by the wires and soared into the sky.
Aurelia quickly took out her phone to record, "Wow, Avery is just so cool! When this movie comes out, he'll get the credit he deserves."
Leopold stretched out a long arm, blocking her view, "Your brother's about to make his big debut, and you're not seeking the help of his legal brother-in-law, but an outsider?"
Aurelia choked a bit on this. Brother-in-law? That sounded rather... ominous?
She shushed him, "Keep your voice down, there are paparazzi everywhere. They're very interested in the scandals of wealthy men like yourself. If we're spotted together, we're toast."
She was just trying to sit back and watch the drama unfold, not become the target of it.
Leopold glared at her, "Stop changing the subject and answer my question."
She flashed a sheepish smile, "This is such a small matter, I wouldn't dare to bother you with it."
She'd be a fool to let her brother jump into the same dangerous place she was in.
Besides, even if she asked for his help, he wouldn't get involved. At most, he'd sign her brother and leave him to sink or swim, just like her.
Arno was much more reliable!
Leopold's lips curved into a mockingly cold smile, "Is there anything you're afraid to do?"
When it came to provoking him, she was fearless!
She suddenly went quiet, lifting her head and meeting his gaze with a serious expression, "There are plenty of things I'm afraid to do, and asking for your help is definitely one of them!"
She didn't want to be mocked, ridiculed, or looked down upon by him!
Leopold's handsome face tightened, her words striking him like a punch to the gut.
Suddenly, he realized that there was a chasm between them.
Though she was physically close, her heart was very far away, never once coming close to him!
This revelation twisted a nerve in his heart.
He moved his lips as if to say something, but swallowed his words, his face bearing an upset expression.
An awkward silence spread between the two of them.
