The Deserted Rich Beauty novel Chapter 1944

Mitchell gritted his teeth. "Do you still remember Angie, the daughter of Caleb the arms dealer from Southeast Asia?"

Nicole's face darkened.

This name triggered some memories that made her uncomfortable.

Mitchell did not hesitate and spoke frankly.

“After Angie went back, she took over her father's position. Today, she's the biggest arms dealer in Southeast Asia. Angie’s brother is also known abroad as an expert in money laundering. To avenge his sister and father, he purposely set his eyes on Mr. Ferguson. Pulling Mr. Ferguson in is only the first step of his plan."

Mitchell’s words carried an extremely heavy weight.

The more secrets he knew, the more he felt how difficult it was for Eric.

Mitchell sat in the position where Eric used to be, trembling with fear and treading on thin ice.

The closer he got to Eric's world, the more he pitied Eric.

The woman in front of him would not feel heartbroken for Eric or try to understand him.

At the mention of Eric’s name, Nicole felt nothing for hatred and wariness.

The air was a little stagnant and cold.

Nicole's face was glum, and she was in disbelief.

"Why would Eric be so obedient?"

Mitchell looked at her with a complicated gaze.

"They captured Ingrid and Madam Quinn. Just when Mr. Ferguson managed to rescue them, Ingrid fell in love with Angie's elder brother and betrayed Mr. Ferguson's plan. Old Master Ferguson was shot to death, and Madam Quinn is still in their hands. Even though Mr. Ferguson isn't close to his family, they are still blood-related after all. He could not just leave them to fend for themselves.”

As soon as Mitchell finished speaking, the entire office became completely silent.

Nicole subconsciously looked out the window.

The wind blew some dried leaves from the treetops, and it was very cold.

It looked like a storm was coming.
