Nicole suddenly had an appetite when she smelled the grilled mutton.
Seeing Clayton's eager and expectant gaze, Nicole suppressed the desire to control her diet and said, "I’ll just have one skewer. I shouldn't eat too much."
Clayton nodded.
Nicole took a bite. The mutton was juicy and tender. It was indescribably delicious and not greasy at all. It was grilled to perfection.
Her eyes lit up, and she gave Clayton a thumbs up.
Clayton put another skewer in her hand.
“Have another one then. It won't make much of a difference. Just drink a glass of cucumber juice later if you feel that it's greasy."
Nicole nodded happily.
Yvette watched this scene on the side and immediately shook his head.
Was this the Great President Nicole that she knew?
Clayton went back and continued to grill more meat with satisfaction.
After a while, Lance came in.
"You're not coming out to eat?"
Yvette held her breath and tried her best to restrain her anger.
"I'm not eating. I'm on a diet."
Lance paused. "I left some skewers for you. I'll just leave it outside. You can come over if you're hungry."
He did not say much and went back outside to the grill.
Nicole smiled.
"Mr. Sheldon is considerate, too. He probably wants you to eat with him. Otherwise, he’ll feel lonely, and he's too embarrassed to say anything."
When Nicole said this, Yvette’s mood became a little better.
"How is that possible?"
Yvette was stubborn but soft-hearted. She still believed what Nicole said.
Ian had a natural ability to coax children, so Chatty quickly became his little fan.
Ian casually pressed the remote control in Chatty’s hand, and the toy car started to move. Chatty was amused and let out a "wow". She also looked at him with a bright smile on his face.
Ian was speechless.
Little Levi looked at his little cousin silently. He did not understand why Chatty was so shocked when all Ian did was press the remote control...
When Ian wanted to help Levi with his Lego, Levi stopped him and said solemnly," Thanks, I can do it myself."
Everyone ate >c#?QLR; drank until the evening.
When Levi took a nap, Aida planned to go home.
Grant obviously had something to say, but since everyone was present, he had no choice but to follow Aida and leave as if nothing had happened.
Julie left on her own, while Yvette and Lance left hand in hand.
Nicole looked at the mess they left behind and suddenly felt overwhelmed.
When Nicole came back in, Clayton had already started to clean up.
Chatty was sitting in the electric cart with a smile and drove around the house.
Clayton smiled as he talked to his daughter and did not care if she could understand him or not.
"Chatty, did you have fun today? Today's mutton was delicious. The lobster was nice too, but you can only eat it when you grow up..."
Chatty echoed, "Eat eat...
Nicole came in and laughed.
"Is Chatty hungry?"
Clayton looked up at Nicole and smiled gently.
"She’s not hungry. She just had some milk. You should take a rest first and come out after I'm done cleaning up."
Nicole raised her eyebrows and thought to herself, 'How did I meet such a good man who can make money and run a household so well?'
"The nanny will come back and do it..."
She was reluctant to let Clayton's clean and slender hands do chores.
Clayton smiled. "No way! The nanny will be upset when she sees this mess. Also, we have to set a good example for Chatty so that she’ll be a good kid who can bear hardships and work hard, right?"
He lowered his head and smiled at Chatty.
Chatty looked at her mom, squeezed Nicole's pinky, and shook it. She even repeated Clayton's words inarticulately, "No ... W-Way..."
Nicole clicked her tongue. "Fine, then.
When Chatty is older, we won't hire any nannies. Chatty can do all the hard work then!"
