The living room fell silent.
Nicole could not bear it anymore and glanced at Mrs. Lindstrom.
"Mrs. Lindstrom, if you paid attention to international affairs, you'd know that carrying guns in South Africa isn't illegal. Your helicopter will fall into the ocean if it runs out of fuel halfway. If it doesn't fall into the ocean, your people will be hunted down and killed. Go ahead and try it if you're confident, but this is the best we can do for you.”
Nicole shrugged her shoulders, and Mrs. Lindstrom’s face turned pale.
"So, they have guns and we can’t call the police?"
Clayton lowered his eyes and did not speak. He just turned the teacup in his hand gently.
Floyd also sighed.
"If you look for Interpol, wouldn't my family be exposed for smuggling your son out? You'd better be clear about which channel you want. Don't toy with us."
Floyd put down his cup heavily on the table.
Mr. Lindstrom's expression changed dramatically, and Mrs. Lindstrom did not dare to say a word.
Mr. Lindstrom said, "We don't mean that. My wife is clueless. I completely agree with
Mr. Sloan’s plan. I have nothing to say as long as you can bring my son back!"
Clayton smiled faintly. "Don't worry, Mr. Lindstrom. There might be times when we lose contact with Samuel during the process, and there's nothing I can do about it. But I’ll let you know after two or three months when he arrives."
He stood up after he finished his sentence, signaling for the guests to leave.
Mr. Lindstrom did not stay as he felt embarrassed and could only stand up to leave with Mrs. Lindstrom.
Floyd sat there with a confused expression, looking really angry and helpless.
"I wanted to help them, thinking that they're our fellow countrymen. But did you hear what that woman said just now?!
She's even complaining that Clayton isn't putting in enough effort?!’’
Mrs. Lindstrom's stupid plan earlier showed how dissatisfied she was with Clayton's plan.
However, their power was limited, so they wanted the Stantons to help them.
Floyd heard it ?c&:RIX? was infuriated.
Nicole smiled and shook her head.
"Never mind... They're just anxious, which is understandable."
Floyd stood up. "If it wasn’t understandable, I would've kicked them out long ago."
After speaking, Floyd looked at Clayton.
"Don't take it to heart. I know that you tried your best.”
Clayton smiled. "I won't, Dad. I understand.'
Although Clayton said so, he actually had no interest in saving Samuel at all.
However, everything was worth it if he could leave a good impression on his father -in-law.
Nicole took Clayton's arm and sighed.
"My baby has been wronged. A kind person like you will definitely have good karma!"
Clayton was stunned by Nicole's sudden sympathy for him.
The coldness in his heart just now disappeared without a trace.
He smiled, lowered his head, and said modestly, "It's alright. I don't feel wronged."
Floyd frowned when he saw the two of them sticking together. He stood up in disdain.
"You can’t even sit properly! Where are your manners?"
After he said that, Floyd stood up and went upstairs with his hands behind his back.
At his age, he could no longer stand such mushy acts.
It was better to be out of sight and out of mind!
Seeing this, Nicole laughed and nestled on the sofa.
In the warehouse.
When Tyler saw the antiques carefully stored in the box, his eyes lit up instantly.
There were ancient calligraphy, paintings, antique vases, and all kinds of valuable ornaments which were all worth a fortune.
He truly did not expect that a woman like Nicole would tinker with something so valuable.
Tyler carefully opened one of the boxes and touched the inside of the box.
Suddenly, he felt something cold on his fingertips. His expression changed dramatically, and he slowly retracted his hand.
Holy sh*t!
Nicole was not bluffing. There really was an explosive device inside.
It would be easy to take one or two of these boxes. But with so many boxes here, they would probably be blown to ashes if they missed one of them.
It was not worth the risk.
Tyler’s subordinates followed him inside and took a look.
