Mr. and Mrs. Lindstrom left the Stanton Mansion regrettably.
Samuel walked in the back and looked at Nicole hesitantly.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Stanton."
Nicole raised her eyebrows. "Mr.
Lindstrom, I understand that you feel apologetic, but I can't just forgive and forget about this. No matter what, I'm glad that you managed to come back safely. Take care of yourself.”
They would not take revenge on Samuel again, but there was also no need to keep a friendship with him.
Samuel understood what Nicole meant and nodded.
After taking two steps out, he stopped, turned his head, and said in a dry and bitter voice.
"Is Lumi doing well?"
Nicole frowned and looked at him
“She's married to Ian, and they're on their honeymoon. So, yes, she's doing very well."
Samuel's face turned pale. His eyes trembled slightly, and his face was taut. He quickly lowered his eyes and turned to leave.
He had been in a dire situation abroad.
Thus, his family did not mention a word about Lumi so as not to distract him.
Samuel had a vague feeling that something had happened while he was abroad.
Those two people who he thought were the most unlikely couple actually got married?
Nicole watched the Lindstroms leave and turned around.
Clayton changed his clothes and came downstairs. When he saw the empty living room, he was not at all surprised.
Nicole stood there and looked at Clayton with her arms crossed.
"You shouldn't be too obvious. Even if you don’t welcome them, can't you at least say a few polite words?"
Clayton laughed and shrugged his shoulders.
"Sorry, I was already very polite by not kicking them out. See, even Dad didn't want to come back."
Nicole clicked her tongue. Clayton learned to use Floyd as a shield, huh?
She rolled her eyes at him, walked to the sofa, and sat down.
Clayton paused, walked over, put his arms around her waist, and squeezed her gently.
"Are you angry?”
Nicole looked to the side, sat up straight, and looked at the magazine in her hand expressionlessly.
"No."
Clayton put the magazine away, held Nicole's face, ?b!>TMP> lowered his head to kiss her. His warm breath instantly enveloped her as he pulled her in.
She put her arms around his neck and opened her eyes gently to find that this handsome man was so immersed in the kiss. Her heart started throbbing.
The two of them kissed deeply.
Clayton raised his eyebrows, smiled, and hugged her waist tightly. His breath was unsteady as he whispered in her ear, "Shall we go upstairs?”
Nicole paused, regained consciousness, and quickly pushed him away.
How did she accidentally fall into his trap?
Fortunately, no one was around. Nicole tidied up her clothes and paused.
"No, I have an appointment with Julie for afternoon tea. Do you wanna join?"
Clayton shook his head sensibly.
"I won't join since it’s your time with her. I’ll accompany Chatty for her swim lessons in the afternoon. The coach will come over later.”
Nicole raised an eyebrow. Why was she unaware of this extracurricular training?
"Coach? A professional?"
Clayton nodded, stretched out his hand to smooth out Nicole’s hair that he messed with just now, and smiled.
"He won the World Swimming Championship, so he's considered a professional.”
Nicole froze and looked at him in shock.
This standard was called "considered a professional"?
Clayton's thought process was really similar to Floyd’s. They always feel that their children could develop in all aspects, so they would not let go of any hobbies.
It would be great if the child could develop that hobby into something else, but if not, they would also understand.
Nicole shook her head and thought, 'Forget it, I don't want to stay home for that.’ "Thanks for your hard work! I'll go upstairs and change."
