Clayton paused for a moment.
His face turned dark as he looked at Nicole.
Clayton was not stupid and knew that Nicole was implying something.
After pondering for half a second, he said in a light voice, "I don't know."
Nicole smiled and nudged his shoulder.
"What would you do if it were you? Tina wants a divorce, and she has evidence of his affairs, so Zach will most likely end up with nothing. His company isn’t doing very well. Once there is a financial problem, it’s very likely that he has to declare bankruptcy. Getting a divorce now won't benefit him at all. He definitely knows this. Zach suddenly fell into this dilemma. So, if you were in his situation, what would you do?"
Nicole was curious what Clayton would do if he was in Zach's shoes.
Clayton seemed to know what Nicole was thinking and smiled helplessly.
He sighed and somewhat regretted standing here.
It was simply an unexpected disaster.
"Baby, I'll never become such a scumbag. There are no what-ifs in this world. If you insist on hearing my answer, then I fully support his wife to get a divorce. That scumbag will only know his mistake after a divorce!"
Nicole lowered her eyes slightly and smiled.
She was quite satisfied with his answer. Nicole thought, 'Never mind. I shouldn't make things difficult for him by asking him this kind of fatal question.'
She pondered for a while and said, "Tina didn't even have the money to buy jewelry. It's very likely that they have a financial problem, but Zach just bought a new car and didn't look like he had any financial difficulties earlier. This means that Zach is transferring his property and deceiving Tina."
Clayton was silent. "Yup, you're so clever!”
He could already tell, but he could not say it.
Nicole sighed and stretched her back.
Zach had already driven his new car away and left Kirsi behind.
Everyone watched such a good show before they entered the door and was quite into the drama.
Nicole turned around and looked at the bright hall inside.
"Let's go. The auction is about to start.”
Clayton took her h>h&:PLY? with a smile and became more spirited.
"There's a powder blue raw diamond on auction. Shall I make it into a brooch for you?”
Nicole smiled, and the couple entered the exhibition hall together. The auction had just started.
No one knew if the organizer did this on purpose, but Nicole and Clayton were arranged to sit opposite Eric and his female companion.
Nicole did not look at Eric's female companion carefully because she did not pay much attention to her.
The woman looked like a high-society lady that was well-dressed. When she looked at Eric, the admiration in her eyes was so obvious that it was easy to tell how she felt about Eric.
Nicole saw that she looked familiar but could not recall her name.
However, Nicole did not pay much attention to Eric’s female companion. Her attention was quickly attracted by the auction item.
Perhaps because of the scene that Tina made earlier, everyone knew that the pair of earrings would be of no value. Thus, they changed the order of the auction at the last minute and placed the earrings in the front.
As a result, only a few people made bids, but they did not offer high prices.
The original value of the earrings might be very high, but the people present cared about their reputation especially since this auction was not anonymous. In the end, the earrings were not sold.
Thus, the organizer had to remove the earrings and replace them with the next auction item.
Clayton fancied a tea set and excitedly whispered in Nicole’s ear, "Coincidentally, Dad wants a new tea set. Let's surprise him!"
Nicole thought about the tea set in Floyd's cupboard that he used according to the weather and his mood.
She could not figure out what Floyd liked.
Nicole smiled and looked at Clayton.
Sure!
Compared to Nicole, Clayton was more like Floyd's son.
All Nicole thought about were diamonds.
She was eager to see them.
Since raw diamonds were precious, they were not displayed earlier, and everyone had not seen them.
Clayton and Nicole whispered with a tacit smile on their faces.
