The next four days were uneventful but enriching.
Together with Justin, Bella visited Nigel and stayed at his place for the night. They even had a video call with Ryan and Carrie. The newlyweds had been to three countries for their honeymoon and were setting off to the next scenic view.
“Justin, Bella… Christopher is wanted by the police. Do you think he fled to Sentania?”
While Carrie left to take her meds, Ryan looked at the couple in the video, with worry written all over his face. “I know you two well enough to be sure that you’d rush to Sentania to catch that bastard. I can’t help but worry. I want to be there for you too.”
“If you are really concerned about us, the only thing you need to do is stay by Carrie’s side.”
Resting in Justin’s arms, Bella said solemnly, “Drill it in your head, Ryan. No matter what happens, you must watch over Carrie. Don’t ever forget how you got her. No one is more important than Carrie.”
To emphasize a point, Bella added. “Even Justin isn’t as important as Carrie.”
Ryan looked at Justin and cleared the air. “That didn’t come from me, Justin.”
“It’s okay. She’s right.” Justin put his head down and chuckled, nibbling on Bella’s ear. “Between you and my wife, my wife matters most.”
Bella squirmed, unable to stand the itch.
Ryan held his chest in the video. “You got me where it hurts, bro.”
“Camilla and Edward will dispatch enough security to ensure our safety in Sentania. Don’t worry.”
Bella smiled brightly, her nerves not showing. “You and Carrie have gone to many places. We will be expecting souvenirs!”
“Of course.” Ryan fell silent before uttering grimly, “Carrie and I will wait for your safe return.”
Justin and Bella responded, “Don’t worry. We will.”
