The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 113

Chapter 113 So Innocent

Other people's opinions didn't matter much to Ranita except for Brendon's.

She pursed her lips and concealed the bitterness in her heart.

"Brendon, don't say that! It wasn't intentional on Ranita's part... she might not know about these things..." Shannon was thrilled inside but maintained an innocent expression on her face, "Ranita must be feeling bad right now; let's not bring this up again!"

Brendon furrowed his brows slightly; he felt annoyed listening to Shannon's words. He never blamed or held anything against Ranita - he even thought of helping out several times but always missed the chance.

He didn't want to invite Ranita to join them because of that dress; he just didn't want people pointing fingers at him when they saw him standing next to Shannon and her.

"Ranita, you should go back first!"

With professional politeness, Ranita simply nodded, "Mr. Stuart, I'll take my leave now."

No emotions were shown during their farewell exchange.

As soon as she stepped out of the door, Ranita saw Holly staring at her with cold laughter.

It seemed like fate brought them together again...

"You dared deceive me earlier, Ranita?" Holly walked towards her with raised chin and an air of superiority.

Ranita looked past Holly towards someone behind her and said calmly, "Maybe you should look behind you."

"Ranita, don't lie to me! Do you think I still believe your words?!" Most of the guests had left, leaving only one or two staff members in the corner cleaning up. They were all trained and wouldn't talk nonsense outside, so Holly was unrestrained.

"Miss Stuart, I am really innocent!" Ranita shrugged her shoulders. There was nothing she could do if she didn't believe her.

"Hehe! Stop talking nonsense. You enjoyed teasing me just now! I'll make you regret it soon!" Holly rushed towards Ranita after speaking and even raised her hand as if she was going to hit her.
