"Pathetic!" Ranita silently cursed herself.
"Next time, if you dare to do it again, I'll show you who's boss!" he threatened.
"Brendon, don't be unreasonable! I didn't do anything..." Ranita was cut off as Brendon brushed his lips against her ear and gave her a peck on the cheek.
Ranita shuddered. "Brendon, please don't."
Every time he got close to her like this, it only resulted in a more heartbroken and sad outcome. Ranita was scared.
Brendon's kisses moved down to her lips. Her heart raced as she tilted back her slender neck and almost lost her breath.
Brendon slowly kissed her while carrying her into the bathroom where hot water was already running.
As the water splashed around them, Ranita regained some composure. She pushed Brendon away and escaped saying "I'll get your clothes for you."
Her thoughts were jumbled when suddenly Mia called on the phone. She hesitated before answering, "What's up?"
"Ranita, want to grab a drink? After leaving Professor's house today, I've been thinking about things and there are some things that I still want to say face-to-face with you," Mia said over the phone.
Ranita didn't really want to see Mia but just then Brendon spoke from inside the bathroom, "Ranita, can you grab me a towel too?"
After pausing for a few seconds, she told Mia, "Where should we meet? I'll come over soon."
She left Brendon's clothes and towel at the door before knocking gently, "Brendon, something came up so I have to go out for a bit. Get some rest early tonight."
"What?" Brendon wiped his face dry with his hands but only saw Ranita walking away from him through the open doorframe.
"Ranita!"
What time is it now? Is this woman going out every day when he isn't home?
