Reporting to the police was not realistic. Ranita couldn't pinpoint her location, and if she did report it, Turner would likely move her somewhere else.
So who should she call?
In a split second, Ranita sadly realized that the clearest phone number in her mind belonged to Brendon!
But he...
Ring ring ring!
"You bitch! What are you doing!" Turner noticed something was wrong and immediately yelled at her while rushing over. "Who are you calling?!"
Although locked up, Ranita's body was more agile than Turner's. She dodged a few times before finally dialing the number.
"Come help me quickly!" Turner shouted at the old woman who hurried over and tried to take the phone from Ranita's hand.
The old woman looked thin but had great strength. She grabbed Ranita's wrist, leaving several red marks on it.
"Girl, give me your phone quickly or you'll be in trouble!" As soon as she finished speaking, the old woman pushed Ranita hard onto the ground. The phone flew out of her hand and hit the ground with a clatter before going black!
Ranita hadn't eaten much food lately and felt weak all over as she lay on the ground unable to get up.
Turner kicked her again and spat, "Ranita, you bitch! Who did you call? Did you report us?"
"Beatrice, check it out!" Turner roared at Beatrice angrily.
Beatrice tapped on the broken phone timidly, "It seems like it's broken! Don't worry about anything happening because this phone is smashed."
"They won't find us here for sure."
They didn't even exchange any words during that short time so nothing should have happened.
