"It's really beautiful," Brendon said, admiring the gift of nature.
Some lost fireflies flew around them, moving like a galaxy. Although they were beautiful, they still had to hurry on their way.
The car started and drove towards the bustling city on the rugged mountain road. Ranita was held in Brendon's arms as he stroked her slender back and comforted her in a low voice, "Don't be afraid, everything is fine now. Just sleep for a while."
Brendon's embrace was warm and comforting. Ranita greedily snuggled into his arms, feeling both sour and sweet inside.
Did his willingness to travel all this way to save her mean that he still had some feelings for her? The bittersweet feeling mixed together made her heart ache.
Feeling safe with Brendon, Ranita quickly fell asleep. After landing in Kurima by plane, she went directly to Tranquil Valley Private Hospital.
Brendon was not happy about Steve meddling in their affairs.
"Steve, don't you have anything better to do? Why don't you go take care of other patients?"
"Ranita is my patient too! Isn't it normal for me to take care of her?" Steve pushed past Brendon and took Ranita into the examination room.
After sleeping for a while at the hospital, Ranita looked much better.
"Thank you Dr. Pearson."
"Don't mention it!" Steve paused before asking, "Are you really not going to tell him?"
Ranita felt uneasy when she heard this question from Steve.
"That night you went missing, Brendon had a fight with Dylan. He thought Dylan had hidden you!"
Her heart raced as she realized what Steve wanted to say next.
