The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 260

Chapter 260 Waist Is Not Even as Big as His Palm

"Come over and have a cup of coffee. What do you want to drink?" Brendon asked in a casual tone.

For many days now, they had been living together like this, side by side in normalcy and fighting alongside each other.

Ranita didn't find this life boring. Although she was always anxious inside, she was content. She turned her head and her gaze fell on the man's tie.

"Your tie is crooked," Ranita helped him straighten it out and said calmly. "Just plain water is fine."

Ranita waited for the lunch box while Brendon made coffee and poured water for her. No one spoke but it was comforting and satisfying.

Brendon ate his lunch while Ranita flipped through magazines occasionally glancing at Brendon.

"You've looked at me 18 times already. Is there something you want to say?" Brendon stopped eating with chopsticks raised, arching an eyebrow as he asked Ranita.

Caught red-handed, Ranita's ears turned slightly red.

She did want to talk about the child but she felt that it wasn't appropriate now since they still had work to do, not to mention the unresolved issue between him and Shannon. Bringing up the topic of children would only make things more complicated.

Perhaps Ranita lacked confidence too.

"I haven't!" Ranita didn't want to admit anything, "How would I know if you're looking at me if I don't look back?"

She argued forcefully without reason.

Brendon chuckled softly in his throat as he looked at her with teasing and mocking expression, "If you really wanted to look, then just look openly. I won't scold you."

His voice was gentle which she never expected before.

Ranita felt extremely nervous but her heart was eager; like a moth drawn irresistibly towards the flame of tenderness without any resistance whatsoever from within herself.

"Is that so?" Her eyes curved into a happy smile as she asked excitedly.
