"Miss Bowman..." Caleb felt a bit awkward. Brendon wasn't just upset about the Cubrews company, but also because of Shannon...
But Caleb couldn't say that.
"Caleb, it's okay. I plan on staying for one more day and will go back by myself tomorrow. You can tell the driver not to come!"
"Miss Bowman, the driver is probably halfway there already. And Mr. Stuart is worried about you being alone."
If he was really worried, why did he leave her alone here for two days?
She was like a pet in Brendon's hands - if he felt like playing with her, he would; if not, she was left aside.
He seemed to know that his pet wouldn't survive without him.
He really was despicable.
"Okay... I understand," Ranita said before hanging up the phone. While checking her luggage later on, she realized that she had forgotten to buy souvenirs for her friends back home.
There was a wine cellar specifically for guests at the estate and Ranita felt dizzy looking at all of the different types of wine available there - she didn't know much about wine herself.
"Ranita? What are you doing here?" Suddenly someone called out from behind and Ranita turned around to see Chris standing tall at the door.
"Mr. Webster?" Ranita was quite surprised too, "What a coincidence."
"Yeah!" Chris walked closer and smiled slightly while lowering his head, "I'm doing some business nearby and I happen to know the owner of this estate who left me some good wine here so I came over to pick it up."
Ranita figured Chris must be more knowledgeable than herself when it came to wines so she asked him directly, "I came over for two days and wanted to choose some red wines as gifts for my friends back home... could you help me pick out a few?"
