Chapter 274 Coming to the Door

"Ranita." Out of nowhere, Vincent's voice came from behind. "Have you finished your call? If so, go back and have lunch."

Ranita turned around, her eyes a little uncomfortable. She quickly lowered her head.

Vincent was originally leaning against the balcony door. Seeing her appearance, he took two steps forward and asked with his head tilted, "Did sand get into your eye?"

"Yeah!" Ranita nodded along with his words.

"It'll be fine in a while. Don't rub it or it'll get redder." Vincent handed her a tissue and spoke gently as if he knew something but didn't expose her.

Although Vincent was older than her by some measure, men like him were mature and charming in certain ways - gentle in character and caring for others.

"Thank you."

After lunch, Vincent left with Ranita. It was almost the end of the semester now; most students were busy taking final exams at noon time on weekdays so there weren't many people on the pedestrian walkway.

Vincent led her through a shady green path that passed by the library where he stopped to say, "The ivy here hasn't changed at all over these years."

"That's true. I used to like reading there." Ranita pointed to the arch railing position on the second floor with a smile in her eyes.

Standing at that spot on the second floor allowed one to look up and see people passing below them.

Ranita still remembered how she felt when she saw Brendon for the first time - heart beating like riding on a roller coaster; he shone brightly as if rubbing off light into her eyes.

"I used to like staying there too," Vincent smiled regretfully saying. "It's too bad I graduated earlier than you did. Otherwise, we could still read together."
