The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 42

Chapter 42 Jealousy

"Your Italian is really standard! And you're so beautiful!" Arthur's first impression of Ranita was very good, and he spoke with surprise.

"Thank you for the compliment! I only know a little bit, but if you need anything, just let me know."

Ranita was humble and polite, with a beautiful face. Her micro-expressions were handled very well, and every smile and frown was just right - she had great charisma.

Ranita's beauty was completely different from Shannon's - Shannon had big eyes, a high nose bridge and an oval face that belonged to the sweet category. But Ranita had superior bone structure and her eyebrows and eyes exuded elegance; when she didn't smile, she looked indifferent but when she did smile it was like polished gemstones shining brightly.

"Miss Bowman, you don't have to be modest!" Arthur paused dramatically before exclaiming, "I suddenly seem to have inspiration when I see you!"

"Bring me my cello!"

Arthur immediately asked his assistant to bring the cello over for an impromptu performance.

Shannon had a concert coming up in a few days' time which cost her a lot of money to commission Arthur to compose music specifically for it. Therefore, they spent the whole day discussing musical issues while Ranita dutifully carried out her own tasks.

But these artists never rested or ate once they got busy; Ranita couldn't leave either so all she could do was keep preparing herself. She felt hungry and tired but what worried her most was that her legs were starting to ache because of wearing high heels all day long.

"Miss Murphy, Mr. Semeraro, I'm going to use the restroom." During this lull in activity, Ranita decided to take advantage of it by taking a break in the bathroom.

Seeing how exhausted Ranita looked, Shannon coldly glanced at her stomach - she wished that she would work herself into exhaustion!

"Mr. Semeraro, you must be tired after today's activities! I've arranged for Cindy to take you to the hotel for some rest. At the same time, I have dinner prepared in the hotel restaurant. We'll see you there later," Shannon said fluently in English, her tone sweet.
