At the same time, far away in Slord, Thora was leisurely lounging by the hotel pool and enjoying the sunshine.
Her phone was placed beside her on speakerphone as she talked to Alistair.
Over the phone, Alistair seemed to be happy.
"A few days ago, when we faced the Beauvort Group's pressure, I thought our plan would fall apart. But I never expected Garcia Group to be so bold and expose everything using their official account. It seems they truly despise Neera and have left themselves no way out. In the end, there were only two possible outcomes to this situation. Either Neera's reputation would be utterly ruined, or the Garcia family would be completely destroyed.
Thora smiled and seemed to be satisfied.
"I initially thought the Garcia family was a bunch of losers. Now, with this uproar, it seems I underestimated them."
Alistair chuckled and said There is no need to think too highly of them. They're still reckless." Once Alfonso was imprisoned, the Garcia family lost their guidance and acted without considering the consequences. This was the outcome I wanted to see.
"The Garcia family probably wasn’t in the mood to be happy now. They thought everything would go according to plan but didn't expect me to interrupt and expose Alfonso's imprisonment. The online comments are particularly entertaining! You should take a look; don't miss out on such fun comments!" Alistair said.
Thora knew that Alistair was trying to take credit. I was in such a good mood today. Let’s give him what he wants.
"I've seen it, Alistair. You did well this time." Thora said. She seemed to be satisfied.
"If you're happy, I'm happy," Alistair replied, "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
Thora smiled and casually said, "Continue to do whatever you should do! We must drag them down completely! Keep up the good work!"
Alistair promptly agreed.
After ending the call, Thora opened a web page. She intended to enjoy the insults and abuse directed at Neera. However, when she accessed the page, it displayed a "system busy" message.
At Imperial Gardens, Sammy was busy operating the computer. His hand seemed never to leave the keyboard.
After a moment, he raised his hand and hit the enter key on the keyboard.
"Done!"
Jean was satisfied and said, "Well done."
Then he asked, "How long until it's back to normal?"
Sammy proudly said, "The system crash will require technical experts to repair the server. But don't worry; I did it discreetly. They won't realize it was a deliberate attack on the website. It will appear as a system issue due to high data traffic. To fix it, they'll need several hours at least. It depends on their technical skills."
Jean smiled and said, "Good job, Sammy."
Penny saw the atmosphere improving and took the opportunity to join in.
"Uncle Jean, I thought you were still angry with Mommy and didn't want to deal with her. But now it seems your anger has dissipated. You're the best, and never stay mad at Mommy for long!"
Jean frowned and felt helpless. Then he explained, "I'm not angry. I'm just worried."
Penny grinned and asked, "So, have you and Mommy made up yet?"
Jean remained silent for a few seconds and said, "Not yet."
"Well..." Penny pouted and said, "What are you going to do? How much longer are you two going to ignore each other?"
Jean gently touched Penny’s face and said, "You don't need to worry about that. We'll make up sooner or later. But for now, I have something important to ask you."
The triplets blinked their eyes and nodded repeatedly. Then, they huddled together and chattered. After a while, Jean asked the triplets to go downstairs and kept Ian in the room.
Once the triplets were downstairs, they huddled together to discuss
"How can we get Mommy and Daddy to reconcile? Do you guys have any ideas?"
"I have no idea... How about arranging a romantic dinner for them with the chef?"
"Wouldn't that be too simple?"
The triplets brainstormed for a while but could not devise a plan. They even pulled Richard together to think of the plan.
Richard found it somewhat amusing when he saw what happened. While Mr. Jean and Ms. Garcia were embroiled in a relationship issue, the triplets were the most concerned.
