Becky's eyes widened. Was she saying she wouldn't attend the state banquet?! Fury coursed through her. "Are you threatening me?"

"If you think so, then yeah." Chloe replied without further explanation, going along with Becky’s assertion.

Chloe not attending the banquet? Wendy would love that.

What was the state banquet? It was where all the bigshots from around the world would be there. If Chloe did a good job and impressed them, who knew what opportunities might come her way? Besides, when word got back home, she would be on cloud nine.

Wendy spoke softly, "Chloe, you can't just decide whether to attend the state banquet on a whim. The program has been arranged. How can you back out at this point?"

Wendy continued, "I know you never care what others think, but if you're going to back out, you should at least let the production team know."

Becky sneered, "You're so full of yourself. If you don't want to attend, then don't. The world will keep turning without you. If you don't perform, there are plenty of people who will. It's not a big deal. I can take care of it with just a few words."

Chloe chuckled and nodded, her voice indifferent, "Oh, is that so?"

Becky was so mad she could barely think straight. She had been bullied enough by Chloe in P City, and she wouldn't allow it to happen again now that they were in Y Country.
