Carolina's expression turned blank, and it took her a while to come back to her senses. She said, "Jonah, I know you've always been upset about the crap I pulled on Chloe. You've always felt sorry for her and guilty about her! But your favoritism and protection should have a limit. At your age, are you really gonna go this far just to make up for your guilt, even if it means dragging your own name through the mud? Jonah continued, "So, all the evidence today is true. Nick is not your biological son."

"Shut up!" Carolina suddenly shouted in emotional outburst, "I don't want your money anymore, okay? You don't have to go out of your way to make up stories to cover for Chloe. That's just ludicrous. Weren't you always about dignity? Don't you want to keep that now?"

Jonah shook his head, "That year, she gave birth ten days before you. You were working overtime at the company that day, and your water broke.
