While seeing Cole off, Robin walked him all the way to the front gate of Harper's Mansion.
Cole said, "I heard that before Damon left the Harper Group, he plunged most of the funds into a new development project?"
Robin pressed his lips together tightly, a shadow flickering in his eyes. He replied, "I'm really sorry that I failed to help Alonso Corporation back then. I didn't expect him to do this. As far as I know, that project just started being planned a few months ago. From design to planning, it was all him, and no one else was involved. Seems like, he had this move planned out all along.
He knew that the Harper Group would eventually fall into my hands, and even knew that the Alonso family would seek help from the Harper family in their time of trouble, so he used the money for the project in advance. Despite his young age, he plays a deep game. He pushed things forward without a ripple, leaving no way out for others."
He never thought his nephew had any particular talent, but now, some of his actions really put fear in him. Such a sharp-minded junior was hard to ignore.
Hearing his words, Cole just smiled. "No matter how smart Damon is, without the Harper family, he won't be able to achieve anything significant. Even if he has the ability to start over, the smart ones won't give him that chance, right?"d2
Robin smiled, "My nephew, he's just too hot-headed. But he's young, it's good for him to go through some things."
Cole chuckled, "Yeah, you guys should knock him down a peg or two. Talking big about going all out against the Harper Group is one thing, but actually doing it? That's not gonna be a walk in the park. From what I see, his mind is all on women these days. How would he have time to go against the Harper Group?"
After saying goodbye to Cole, Robin stood at the door of Harper's Mansion for a long time.
Perhaps Cole was right! Without the Harper Group, Damon was nothing. Even if he had great ability and wanted to start over, there was no way Robin was going to let that happen.
But given Presley's recent mindset and attitude, it seemed he always had an important position in the Harper family. The power to control the Harper family was still in Damon's hands. If one day Presley really summoned Damon back, then the Harper Group was surely his again. He needed to find a way to eliminate Presley's thoughts about Damon.

Chloe won the lawsuit but pissed off the public. On top of that, Damon temporarily blocked negative comments about Chloe online, and now the online sentiment was almost entirely against Chloe.
Those who were neutral or supported Chloe before had started to change their position to some extent.
In just an afternoon, the negative comments Damon had just removed popped up again like mushrooms after the rain. Damon read some of the comments online with a serious expression. He couldn't help but log into his account, ready to personally respond, only to have his phone snatched away halfway.
"Alright, if looking at this bothers you, then don't." Chloe, in her pajamas, leaned against Damon's back, rested her chin on his shoulder, glanced at the comments on his phone, and smirked mockingly.
Damon held her waist tightly, pulled her in front of him, and trapped her in his arms, a cold anger flickering in his eyes. "You see what they've said about you? And you still have a smile on your face?!" His voice wasn't loud, but it was like a low drumbeat, enough to shake one's heart.
Chloe's smile deepened. "You probably haven't seen me get slammed worse, have you? When the rumor in school was that I stole Keira's perfume formula and that I seduced the judges in the competition, how much nasty stuff have I been through? These are only visible, but unheard, and compared to back then, these are nothing!"
