The Enticing CEO's Chosen Bride novel Chapter 1586

[Hey dear, the training was a smashing success!]

Chloe chuckled and responded with a quick text: [You're the best!]

Ten seconds later.

[Now, I'm officially prepping to start working on the costumes. Time to show my real skills!]

Chloe: [OK, all set!]

After she put down her phone, Chloe leaned back on the couch, her slender fingers were lightly touching her chin and her eyes were sparkling with mischief. Her lips curved into a slight smile.d2

Damon emerged from the kitchen, catching her expression. His dark eyes reflected a blend of exasperation and affection. What on earth was this woman thinking now? Always full of surprises and ideas.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked.

Chloe lifted her gaze, watching the tall man stride toward her. Her eyes locked onto him. He looked back, completely clueless about what was going on in her mind.

Damon was sure that the look in her eyes meant she was scheming something about him. It wasn't until he sat down next to her that she finally spoke, "My dress last night, it was pretty, wasn't it?"

This random question caught Damon off guard, but he still responded, "You always look great."

She gave up expecting any substantial response from him at this point. "I wonder what Robin would think of it." She mumbled, her expression conflicted.

Damon furrowed his brows, "What did you say?"

Chloe glanced at him, then suddenly patted Damon's shoulder, "You're in for a treat."

Damon raised an eyebrow; he genuinely had no idea what she was planning now.

"Let's eat!" Chloe said.

Three o'clock in the afternoon, at the Harper's Mansion.

Addie was sitting on the sunlit patio on the first floor, eating an apple while instructing the housemaids to clean. The maids were silently cleaning every corner of the house. They harbored resentment, but the high salary offered by the Harper family kept them silent.

Marina, the previous housemaid, had been pushed out by Addie some time ago. Now, Addie, the one with the longest tenure, was the one calling the shots.
