Damon picked up a slice of cheese, thinking of adding it to Chloe's sandwich. Chloe immediately slapped the idea down.
"I don't want that."
Damon arched an eyebrow, "Becoming a picky eater now, are you?"
Chloe shook her head, "Nah, just not in the mood for it right now. I've been packing on the pounds recently, gotta stop the scale from tipping..."
Damon tilted his head in thought for a few seconds, "You haven't put on any weight. Even if you did, I wouldn't mind... might even feel better, you know.”
Chloe narrowed her eyes at him,
"Then you eat it. You're not fat, might feel better if you were chunkier."
"Ha ha.”
Chloe's jab got a laugh out of Damon, "If a guy gets too fat, it might... affect certain performances.”
At this, Chloe paused in her eating, looked up at Damon, and her eyes flickered in understanding.
He was hinting at THAT!
This guy, seriously...
"So you're saying all the fat guys in the world don't have wives?"
Damon smirked slightly, "Not necessarily, but I want you to be the most 'satisfied' woman in the world. I don't want you to be just average in that department.”
"..." Chloe was at a loss for words. Why was it that men were always more straightforward than women when it came to these things?
She always ended up waving the white flag first when such topics came up.
"You still didn't answer my question, where are you heading today?"
"Need to swing by the office." Damon said.
Chloe wasn't surprised. The Harper family had a manor in Hong Kong, so having a business here was only natural.
Chloe paused, "What about me?"
Damon glanced at her, “You can chill in the room.”
“I don't want to.”
Damon looked at her, laughing, “You want to tag along to the office?”
“I came here to see you, and you're just going to ditch me in the room the very next day? Don't you think that's a bit much?”
Damon chuckled, then nodded, “Guess it is a bit harsh.”
Just then, the door was knocked and Nathan's voice echoed in, along with the sound of the door opening.
“What are you guys up to in here?”
Chloe instantly glanced at Damon, and quickly pulled her shirt down.
Damon squinted his eyes, casually grabbed the crystal ashtray from the table and flung it toward the door.
“Get lost!”
“You bastard!”
“Bang!”
