The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 269

Matthew was ready to leave, yet Silas was still unconscious. It was a troublesome situation.

He was about to carry Silas on his back before thinking that it was inappropriate. Left without any other choice, he carried the latter in his arms.

Silas was skinny and surprisingly light. Matthew carried him out of the room and walked downstairs.

After arriving at the yard, he pondered for a while before burning it down with a torch.

Only then did he walk out, carrying Silas. Once he was outside, his vision cleared significantly. He looked down and immediately noticed Silas staring at him with wide eyes.

Matthew stopped walking. "You… You're awake?"

There was a weird smile on Silas' face. "Yes, I'm awake."

The sight of the grinning man in his arms suddenly grossed Matthew out. "What the hell? You made me carry you even though you're awake?"

He let go, and Silas landed on the ground with a thump, yelping in pain. "Why did you drop me? That hurts. Couldn't you have put me down slowly?"

Matthew replied with annoyance, "Suits you right. You were awake, but you still let me carry you. Doesn't that gross you out? When did you wake up?"

Grinning, Silas said, "It's not gross. Being carried is rather nice. I actually woke up quite a while ago."

Matthew raised his leg and kicked Silas in the butt. "Are you looking for a fight, you shithead? I'm sticking my neck out for you, yet you're making trouble for me."

Silas stood still and let Matthew kick him once. He was not at all angry.

With a smile on his face, he said, "Truth be told, ever since you came to me, I knew there must be something you're after. You didn't ask me about it, and I couldn't be bothered to say anything. However, I'm very grateful for what you've done for me, especially today.
