The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 1826

Seeing how the old master pitied Curtis Wade, Clayton retorted, dissatisfied. "Father, Curtis has left us for so many years. Please stop bringing him up. Besides, we are all responsible as to why Curtis left us. Basically, the entire Eastcliff was involved in one way or

another. It wasn't something that we could control." 5

Caleb agreed and chimed in, "Yes, father. Isn't this supposed to be about Jaime and Sophie? How did this suddenly turn into a talk about Curtis?" s

Old master sighed. "Alright, let's not talk about it anymore. Let's get down to business. So, to sum up, the Schulz family screwed up their venture to Japan. The upcoming events are not looking good for them; hence this is a perfect opportunity to make our move and catch up to them! What do you think?"

Everyone glanced at each other excitedly. Clayton nodded in agreement. "You're right, Father. I, too, think that this is a great opportunity for us!" 2

"Our shipping business started out a little later than the Schulz family and was at an absolute disadvantage, but if we could take advantage of the current situation and get the Ito family to work with u s to take over the Japanese market, we'd definitely be i n the way of the Schulz's and halt their progress. This would be a good chance to strike a blow at them!"

Jeremiah nodded before pondering for a moment.

"At the moment, we are not in the position to go head-o n against the Schulz family. This matter has to be done discreetly. Everything has to be done precisely and slowly to not tip off the Schulz family, or else we will lose the edge." 3

Clayton was puzzled as to the remark. "Father, the Schulz's family, literally went to Japan to destroy families in such a high-profiled manner, so why should we discuss terms of cooperation with Japan so discreetly?" 2

Jeremiah smiled. "The Schulz family's force is currently over there. If we were to march into Japan and try to get the Ito family to cooperate, it's like a slap to their face to the Schulz's. It wouldn't end well b y disregarding the Schulz family's dignity." 4

He then continued, "If we were to cause such a blow to their dignity, judging by the way they work, they would most definitely try to pick a head-on fight with us. And if that happens, we'd be in serious trouble."
