The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 1828

Clayton was extraordinarily depressed, but he couldn't bring himself to object. So, he tried to pull the main topic back to the spotlight. "Father, shouldn't we be discussing our venture in Japan? You just mentioned there should be no direct confrontation with Schulz family. So what should we do now?" 2

"We cannot be too obvious in exposing ourselves, but you can send someone to meet Ito Yahiko in private," replied Jeremiah. 2

Clayton started to feel a little irritated. He suddenly had an idea to head over to Tokyo to clear his mind, and thus, volunteered. "Father, why don’t I fly to Tokyo tomorrow morning and meet up with Ito Yahiko."

Jeremiah nodded, but his reply surprised Clayton. "We must definitely meet him, but the person meeting him should not be you." 2

Taken aback, Clayton asked. "Father, what do you mean?"

Jeremiah replied, "Previously, the Schulz' sent their younger generation to meet Ito family. If Wade family were to send you, however, it just doesn't seem right. It'll look as if we are not as competent as the Schulz'.'' 1

As he spoke, Jeremiah looked at Felix, Clayton's son, and also his eldest grandson. "Felix, I want you to get prepared," he said. "You'll leave before ten. After

lunch, you will head over to Tokyo." 5

Felix hurriedly stood up and respectfully replied, " Okay, grandpa, I'll get ready now. But grandpa, after meeting Yahiko, how should I talk to him about the project?"

Jeremiah waved his hand. "You don’t have to talk about any matters related to the project. I will prepare some gifts for Ito Yahiko. Tell him that it’s a gesture of my appreciation since I would like to be friends. All you need to do is just leave your contact and then comeback." 4

Clearly surprised, Felix asked, "That easy?"

Jeremiah nodded. "Yes. It's just that easy."
