The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 1949

Lady Wilson was dumbstruck all of a sudden. 4

Jennifer and the ladies were actually sent here by Donald Webb? 2

What was Dona thinking?! 5

Could it be that the helpers that he said he had arranged for herself, were these three people?! 3

While she was in a trance, Jennifer blurted out in excitement upon hearing the burly man's words, "Sir, are you sure? Can we really live here?" 1

The man nodded. “Of course! The driver earlier has already registered your fingerprints on the home security, hasn't he? So, you can treat this place like your own home!"

Lady Wilson cried out desperately, "Can you please tell Mr. Webb that we don't want such helpers? They are nothing but illiterate peasants, what can they possibly do for us? Can you please get us three professional caregivers, preferably the kinds who can also do both laundry and cooking?"

The man chided in a cold voice, "You wish! Old lady, I find that although you look old and ugly, you have quite a creative imagination! Who do you think you are to bargain with Mr. Webb?"

Lady Wilson blushed in embarrassment and muttered,

"T-Then we don't need any helper, okay? Just get them to leave. We’ll do everything ourselves, alright?" 2

"No can do! You heard me. These three ladies, just like you and your family, will be the residents of this house from now on. All of you are equal, and you do not have any right to kick them out!"

Upon hearing this, Jennifer threw a sideways glance a t Lady Wilson and replied with a sardonic laugh, "Oh, Lady Wilson, I thought you are really out of my league for staying at such a nice place after being released! A s it turns out, this big villa is not even yours, to begin with! Why did you even put on an act with me? I really thought this was your villa! I didn’t expect that you are just tenants, the same as us!" 3
