What made Jasmine realize that the situation was not quite right was after all of these clues were cleared, and all of them seemed to match Charlie. Charlie's last name was equivalent to the last piece of evidence that locked all of these clues together, and Jasmine no longer had any more doubts about her own assumption.
She thought to herself, 'So, it seems that Master Wade should be the young master of the Wade family from Eastcliff. Moreover, the Wade family had a very good relationship with the Golding family back then. So, that is the reason why they had arranged a marriage contract when the two children were still young.
However, some changes happened to Master Wade in the middle, and that was the reason why he ended up i n Aurous Hill and became an orphan!'
As she thought of this, Jasmine suddenly had mixed feelings in the depths of her heart.
Before this, she had felt that Charlie came from a lowly origin. However, he succeeded because of his own ability, and it was also precisely because of this reason that Jasmine had never felt inferior in front of Charlie in any way. At the very least, she came from a much better background, and she was naturally born higher up in the social hierarchy as compared to him.
Jasmine had never had any thoughts that she despised or looked down on Charlie. She simply used this point of view to cheer herself up so that she could feel as though Charlie was not completely out of her reach.
But now, she realized that her background was not better off than Charlie's, but on the contrary, her background was actually far worse off as compared to Charlie's.
The overall strength of the Wade family from Eastcliff was more than ten times stronger than the Moore family!
If the base was small, ten times would not seem like a big gap. However, if the base was large, the gap was simply terrifying.
To use a simple analogy, one child has one lollipop in his hand, while another child has ten lollipops in his hand. This tenfold gap was nothing at all, and parents would only need to come up with a few dollars to help their children catch up with each other. 3
However, if your family-owned one house locally, while another person owned ten houses locally, the gap would be far too big for many people to overcome.
