When Charlie saw Anthony saluting and bowing before him, Charlie waved his hand before he said, "M r. Simmons, you don’t need to be so polite with me. You don't need to call me Mr. Wade either, you can just call me Charlie."
"How could I possibly do that?" Anthony hurriedly bowed before he said, "Mr. Wade, you are my master, s o how could I possibly address you by your first name?" 2
When Charlie saw how stubborn and persistent the old man was, he did not continue to persuade him. Instead, he simply said, "I heard that Jason Grant and Kenneth Wilson came to see you yesterday?" 2
Anthony was very surprised at this time. "Mr. Wade, how did you find out about this?" 1
Xyla stuck out her tongue before she said, "Grandpa, I was the one who told Mr. Wade about this..." 3
Anthony started to reprimand Xyla immediately." Young girl! Mr. Wade is so busy with his own daily affairs, so how could you bother him with something a s trivial as this?" 3
Xyla felt very aggrieved at this time. 2
The reason why she had called Charlie was not because she wanted to ask for credit on behalf of her grandfather. Instead, it was simply because she
wanted to look for an opportunity to talk to Charlie.
After all, she had always regarded Charlie as her idol and she admired him even more than she admired her own grandfather. Therefore, she really wanted to look for an opportunity to talk to him even if it was just a mere phone call. 2
However, she could not possibly make a phone call to Charlie if there was nothing for them to talk about, could she?
Therefore, she decided to report the events that had happened yesterday to Charlie.
However, she did not expect her grandfather to scold her instead!
In fact, the reason why Anthony yelled at Xyla was simply because he was worried that Charlie would misunderstand him. He was afraid that Charlie would think that he was the one who had asked Xyla to call him so that he could get more credit for himself. He did not want Charlie to misunderstand him and think of him as someone who wanted to take credit for everything.
