Kathleen furrowed her brows at Julian's words.
Julian wasn't unnecessarily pessimistic, but he was just vigilant with the possible threats. After all, he had just broken through the sixth meridian and became a n official six-star martial artist last year.
With his current strength, he was probably the weakest compared to others at the same level. If Charlie was at least as strong as a six-star martial artist, he would probably be stronger than Julian and could easily see through Julian's real strength.
Even so, Julian couldn’t be certain with his assumption. He noticed that Kathleen was a little worried, and went silent as he pondered for a moment.
After a while, he informed her, "Young Lady, in my opinion, it’s unlikely for Charlie to be a six-star martial artist or a martial artist of a higher level. You don't have to worry too much."
Kathleen asked, "Mr. Larson, why do you think so?"
Julian explained, "This is a peaceful and prosperous country. There hasn't been any chance for the development of martial arts in recent years. Besides, many powerful martial art masters are based overseas.”
"Charlie is born local and is a native of Aurous Hill. It’s unlikely for him to be a martial artist. As far as I know,
the strongest martial artist in Oskia was at most a four -star. I'm not sure if there's any five-star martial artist here."
Kathleen nodded lightly. "I just find Charlie too mysterious. There are many unknown aspects to him.
I can't understand most of it, but it seems unlikely for him to be a strong martial artist at such a young age. Besides, he dabbles in many things like Feng Shui and medicine production..."
"It’s unlikely for even a strong man like him to succeed as a high-level martial artist in his twenties. Maybe I'm just overthinking..."
Julian agreed. "Indeed. Martial arts is a journey. A martial artist will usually start training under a master from a young age. They may be very talented and have the chance to learn from the best masters. Even so, there’s no way for anyone to become a six-star martial artist in their twenties."
"The youngest six-star martial artist I’ve known achieved that when he was thirty-five years old. He started practicing martial arts when he was three. It took him thirty-two years to become a six-star martial artist. I'm assuming that he spends at least fourteen hours a day just practicing his martial arts."
Kathleen was taken aback by Julian’s words. "Practice fourteen hours a day? That means a martial artist in training won’t have much time left for himself after training, eating, and sleeping...!" "That's right." Julian explained, "Those who want to succeed will have to practice in a secluded area. Otherwise, there will be too many distractions around them and it’ll be harder for them to improve quickly. Charlie is a jack of all trades, but master of none. His energy is too scattered. Even if he did practice martial arts, it'll be hard for him to achieve anything in it."
