The bodyguard's words made Finley panic more, and he quickly asked, "Who else died?!"
The bodyguard shook his head and said," I’m not sure about that.”
After that, he could not be bothered to talk t o Finley anymore and left in a hurry.
Finley immediately fell into deep thought.' Homer has gone missing? Who did this? What happened to those Iga ninjas? Are they the ones who died?!'
Finley never thought that the eight Iga ninjas he hired would attack Homer instead. Hence, he speculated that it might be another enemy that had kidnapped Homer.
Finley had done a lot of despicable deeds : n his life. However, he could swear that he had absolutely nothing to do with Homer’s disappearance.
It was rare for him to face something with a clear conscience like this.
He was not worried that Homer's disappearance would have anything to do with him. He was only worried about the implications.
If something happened to Homer, Finley might temporarily lose his protection. In that case, he might be in big trouble. The murderer that had killed his younger brother could be after him.
However, Finley changed his mind quickly. He felt that he should not worry too much for the time being.
After all, he had a peaceful life here, which proved that the other party had been unable to trace him to the Fox family. He was still safe for the time being.
Whether Homer could come back safely or not was unimportant. All he had to do next was continue to stall as much time as possible in the Fox family, which was not difficult for Finley.
Homer had arranged for him to stay in a vacant villa. All the Fox family members that had previously stayed there had already moved out. The Fox family member would not pay attention to him as long as he stayed in the villa quietly.
It did not matter even if they paid attention to him. He could just tell the Fox family that he was Homer's friend, and the Fox family would probably not drive him out.
