"Afraid of something?!"
Spencer's assumption took Xavion by surprise.
"Dad, are you saying that Finley knows who attacked Homer? He’s also afraid that they might hurt him?"
"It could be!" Spencer nodded gravely and added, "Now that I think about what Merlin said just now, I suddenly feel something..."
Xavion was not as bright as his father, so he asked, "Dad, did you figure out something?"
Spencer did not answer his question. Instead, he ordered the butler to take Lola and the rest away.
Once everyone else had vacated the room, only Spencer and Xavion were left in the room. At last, Spencer turned to Xavion with a stern expression and said, "We couldn't understand what Merlin was talking about when he mentioned the scandal earlier. Now, I vaguely think that this scandal is likely related to Homer and Finley."
After that, Spencer looked toward Xavion and said, "I think Homer and Finley have been doing something despicable together! This explains why Homer took Finley to the house without anyone knowing. Then, he plotted with him in that vacant villa daily..."
Xavion hurriedly asked, "Dad, they are just two young men in their twenties. What could they possibly do?"
Spencer coldly said, "They must be discussing some plan and have already started working on it."
Then, Spencer remembered something and asked, "Wasn't Homer dealing with some charity dinner when he went missing?"
