Charlie felt a little emotional upon learning about his grandfather’s Alzheimer’s disease.
In his memory, his grandfather was a strong person who had been strong-willed his whole life, constantly oozing a powerful aura and confidence.
For a strong man to suffer from
Alzheimer’s disease, it was indeed rather torturous. The disease would not kill, but it would destroy a person's steely will.
The fact that the Healing Pill had not cured Keith's Alzheimer's was not surprising to Charlie. After all, the Healing Pill's efficacy was limited. After saving Keith’s life and curing his cerebral hemorrhage, the drug's efficacy was probably almost all gone.
He sighed softly upon thinking of that and sent Quinn another reply: [As long as he's fine. When are you coming back?]
Quinn responded: [Grandma doesn't want me to leave yet. She insists on giving me a welcome gift, and I don't know what to do now. Charlie, isn’t it inappropriate for me to accept their gift?]
Charlie replied: [It's fine. Just keep whatever they give you. Don't worry about it]
Quinn helplessly replied to Charlie's message: [Okay. I’ll keep it for you first ]
Charlie responded in turn: [Silly, it's a gift for you. Just keep it for yourself. Why would you want to keep it for me?]
Quinn sent a shy emoji and texted him back: [Grandpa gave me a property in Eastcliff. He said it was for us and told me to keep it first. After all. I'm your fiancee, and according to him, he wants us to stay there together after he finds you.]
Charlie shook his head helplessly and sighed as he replied to her message: [ Alright. You can just ignore what he says and keep it first.]
