"No, General Fang! General Fang!”
The guard at the door attempted to stop Fang Shao-Hong, but it was too late.
The moment Fang Shao-Hong entered, he discovered there was no meeting happening at all. Instead, a bunch of people were just sitting around the table and chatting over lunch.
"Didn't I say no one was to enter unless it's urgent? If you disturb my guest, you are going to get it from me!”
The man who spoke was a short and stout man.
The moment someone barged in, he started yelling furiously.
He was deputy commander of the Jiangdong's armed forces, Lin Qing-He.
But Fang Shao-Hong ignored Lin Qing-He's scolding and turned to look at another middle-aged man instead.
The man was imposing and burly with an authoritative look in his eyes. His eyes were slightly furrowed, and he seemed clearly unhappy with the interruption.
Indeed, this soldierly looking middle-aged man was none other than the commander of Jiangdong's army, Wu Yang.
"Commander Wu, what are you trying to do? We've waited for ages for you outside while you were just here enjoying your food. We had such a hard time convincing fine talent like Mr Chu to come, but you are treating him this way? How do you think that would make him feel?"
Fang Shao-Hong's words were clearly filled with anger.
He was genuinely outraged.
To think they thought that Wu Yang and the others had received urgent orders and were discussing matters of national importance.
It turned out that these two commanders were having fun while they waited outside and wasted their time.
"How dare you? Is this how you speak to the commander? Fang Shao-Hong, you had better not think you can push your weight around and disrespect the commander just because you are from the capital. Let me tell you. You aren't in Yanjing anymore! This is no place for you to cause problems!" barked Lin Qing-He as he slammed the table before Wu Yang said a word.
"What is going on? Why did you get into an argument?"
Lu Tian-He and the others overheard the commotion inside, so they hurriedly walked in to find out what was going on.
"Tian-He, perfect. Just look at this! We waited outside for over an hour, but they were drinking and chatting inside. Are they bullying us because we are not from here?"
Fang Shao-Hong was furious.
He had already expected a lot of resistance when they parachuted into Jiangdong to work on the martial art
special troops.
After all, Lu Tian-He and Fang Shao-Hong were outsiders from Yanjing, so it was unavoidable for them to be ostracized by the local military.
But he didn't expect these people to be this arrogant and blatant and make things difficult for them right from the start.
Lu Tian-He also frowned at this.
"Commander Wu, what is the meaning of this?" asked Lu Tian-He angrily as he looked at Wu Yang.
