"You certainly are perceptive. To be honest, we have something to ask of you. All the martial artists have gathered here, so the spirit energy fruit tree is bound to surface soon. When the time comes, everyone will fight for it. You are powerful, so in terms of solo fights, no one is your match. However, you will have to face multitudes of enemies during skirmishes. Also, since you have made a name for yourself, you are now an open target. Everyone will focus on taking you out, and you will become outnumbered in no time. Despite your powers, you probably can't single-handedly go against so many martial artists, right?" Reilo chuckled out loud as he explained the situation courteously to Ye Fan.
"Your point is?" asked Ye Fan unhurriedly.
Reilo paused before he continued, "If you are open to it, I think we can have an alliance. When the time comes, I will do my best to help you get spirit energy fruits. We just need half of the total harvest when the battle comes to an end. You might run solo, but there are plenty of Indian martial artists, so I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for half the fruit," said Reilo as he smiled at Ye Fan.
Ye Fan nodded. "Sure. I don't mind doing this."
"Mr Lv, does that mean we are a team?"
Reilo was instantly surprised.
Initially, he thought it would be hard to convince Ye Fan.
However, Reilo didn't expect Ye Fan to decide so swiftly.
Things were now progressing beyond his expectation.
"Do you want me to say no?" asked Ye Fan rhetorically.
"No, no, of course not! I was just impressed by how decisive you were. In that case, I won't disturb you any further while we split up and locate the spirit energy fruit tree. Just act as we planned later."
Reilo and his men left after that discussion and continued searching for the spirit energy fruit tree.
"Well done, Bro. I didn't think he would be that easy to fool. I can't believe you settled it so quickly. This idiot is all brawn and has no brain. I wonder how he managed to live for so long." After going some distance, the Indian martial artists started discussing this matter among themselves happily.
Reilo shook his head instead. "He wasn't dumb. He was simply overconfident. Overconfidence tends to make people overlook risks. He probably thinks that after he taught us a lesson, we wouldn't dare to offend him anymore, so he was open to our suggestion for an alliance."
"Uh huh. You are absolutely right." His teammate nodded before he continued, "It seems this time, we can teach that Chinese kid a painful lesson."
Reilo didn't genuinely want an alliance with Ye Fan. Instead, he had other plans.
In their opinion, regardless of how powerful Ye Fan was, even if Ye Fan could defeat everyone in one fell swoop and obtain the spirit energy fruit, he would end up completely spent when the battle was over.
Reilo and his men could then make use of Ye Fan's trust and sneak up on him.
They could kill Ye Fan swiftly and steal the spirit energy fruit from him.
