"C-chu Sect? A-are you from Chu Sect?"
Lu Yan-Xi instantly trembled when she heard what everyone said. Her face became even paler from the shock.
Lu Yan-Xi didn't think that she had inadvertently slapped someone from Chu Sect.
"H-how can that be? Why would anyone from Chu Sect turn up here?"
Even Lv Hua was incapable of staying calm.
He looked fearful and worried as though he was facing a formidable foe.
"Oh no! Yan-Xi is in big trouble now.”
Kong Ming felt terrified and worried and was at his wit's end.
If it were anyone else, Kong Ming was certain that he could settle the problem, considering his reputation in the Chinese martial arts circle.
However, Chu Sect was an exception.
Amid Lv Hua and Lu Yan-Xi's anxiety, the man continued looking at Lu Yan-Xi.
The man calmly smiled when he heard Lu Yan-Xi's question. "It appears that you do have some sense and was capable of figuring out our background. Tell me. How should we punish you for slapping my cousin?" The man in the suit sounded calm as he spoke teasingly.
It sounded as though the young woman before him was nothing but some grass by his feet and merely a plaything.
Despite Lu Yan-Xi's horror, she replied stubbornly, "l-l told you. Your cousin offended me first, and I was just defending myself. Even if you are from Chu Sect, you have to be reasonable, right? He was the one who did wrong, but he didn't apologize, and now you are making things hard for me. How can you be such a bully?" Lu Yan-Xi put on a bold front as she explained herself in a trembling but indignant tone of voice.
"Be reasonable?" The young man instantly laughed when he heard what Lu Yan-Xi said.
His bright laughter sounded mocking.
It sounded as though he had heard the funniest joke on earth.
"All these years, it is the first time anyone asked me, Mike Jones, to be reasonable. I wonder if you are immature or if you think I'm childish. Since you are here, you must be a martial artist, right? After practicing martial arts for so many years, don't you know fighting is all about strength? If you want to be reasonable, then fight it out in court, publish it on the paper, or air it on the news. Those are the right channels for talking reason."
Mike Jones laughed coldly and left Lu Yan-Xi speechless in no time.
She stood in shock with her face pale like a criminal awaiting execution.
Although the man sounded blunt, Lu Yan-Xi had to admit he was right.
There was no place for reason in the martial arts circle.
Strength was the ultimate truth in the world!
Lu Yan-Xi almost lost all hope instantly, and her heart turned cold.
She was probably incapable of leaving unscathed this time.
