Ye Fan acted as though he hadn't heard anything and continued grilling fish despite how angry Yu Yun was. He even picked up one of the fish and started to eat it.
Yu Yun was so annoyed by Ye Fan's actions that her nose almost became contorted.
"I'm talking to you here! Didn't you hear me? Aren't you going to answer me?" shouted Yu Yun furiously to Ye Fan.
Ye Fan ate the fish as he smiled with satisfaction, "Wow, it tastes great. This island is truly a wonderful place. Ice spirit fruit can grow here, and even the fish in the lake are delicious. In the entire world, only the red-tailed carp with gold scales from the Yellow River in my hometown can compare to it."
Ye Fan sighed with satisfaction and purposely spoke loudly as he ate the fish exaggeratedly like he was eating some delicacy, all in an effort to entice Yu Yun.
Yu Yun knew exactly what Ye Fan was trying to do, so she sneered, "Stop changing the subject! Don't assume you can win me over with some fish. I don't give a damn about fish."
Yu Yun spoke stubbornly and acted like she didn't care about the grilled fish.
Ye Fan sighed, "Really? Since you don't like fish, then I will help you finish it. We can't let it go to waste, right?"
Ye Fan picked up another grilled fish and started to eat it as he spoke.
But before he managed to take a bite, a sweet scent wafted in the air. When Ye Fan looked up, the fish was now in Yu Yun's hands.
Ye Fan instantly shook his head and smiled.
He just knew that Yu Yun couldn't say no to good food.
After living with Yu Yun at the old Chu residence for over a month, he was keenly aware that despite her beauty, loftiness and grace, she was a glutton through and through.
Ye Fan remembered how they had accidentally eaten the aphrodisiac his great-grandmother made because she was greedy.
That night was certainly the toughest night in Ye Fan's life, and he almost committed an epic mistake.
Fortunately, he managed to prevent things from going too far using his immense willpower. Otherwise, he would have ended up betraying Qiu Mu-Cheng.
Yu Yun seemed to detect Ye Fan's look.
Out of pride, she sneered and said, "I saved your life, so it's only fair that you give me the fish."
"Sure, of course, it's all yours. I didn't say you can't have it, you didn't have to snatch it. Moreover, you have to fill your stomach before you continue treating my injuries, right?" Ye Fan smiled as he replied.
He felt that this proud woman was becoming increasingly cute.
Perhaps owing to how good it tasted, Yu Yun ate four to five grilled fish in a row.
Even Yu Yun had to admit that Ye Fan had excellent culinary skills.
He was capable of grilling this fish to perfection despite the lack of ingredients and tools. Also, it genuinely tasted different from any other fish Yu Yun tried in her life and suited her appetite.
"Did he come from a family of chefs?" Yu Yun contemplated in her heart as she watched the young man grill fish by the fire.
It wasn't her first time surrendering to Ye Fan's culinary skills.
She had already fallen in love with his cooking when they lived at the old Chu residence.
Yu Yun felt that those were the most beautiful memories in her life, but it was mostly because she surrounded by delicious food every day.
